P&A Unit Group Handbook

The P&A Unit Group Handbook is designed to help increase Academic Professionals and Administrators (P&A) groups at the Unit level. Academic Staff hold similar positions and responsibilities as other employment classifications, but P&A employees have unique job situations compared to tenured/tenure-track faculty, bargaining-unit staff, and civil service staff. This handbook is a step-by-step guide for P&As wanting to get involved with governance at the unit level.

The guide includes purposes and suggested processes for forming unit level groups. And it provides information on how CAPA's work relates to what happens at the unit level. This handbook is developed from information provided to the CAPA Representation and Governance Committee.
