CAPA Awards
2008-09 Outstanding Unit Award
The CAPA Outstanding Unit Award recognizes units within the University of Minnesota that are exemplary in their support of Professional and Administrative (P&A) staff. In addition, the award acknowledges the work of P&A staff members within these units who have made distinguished contributions to the mission of their unit and the University.
Units winning the award receive public recognition, a plaque, and $1000 for a unit-centered professional development activity. Winners will be asked to provide a report of how the award money is utilized within the unit. Past winners have included:
2001-02 - University Libraries
2002-03 - General College
2003-04 - School of Social Work
2004-05 - Department of Chemistry
2005-06 - College of Human Ecology
2006-07 - Department of Postsecondary Teaching and Learning
2007-08 - Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences
2008-09 - Labor Education Services
